Vanessa Torrellas

Vanessa Torrellas began her culinary career in Puerto Rico before relocating to Los Angeles, where she trained in Michelin-starred kitchens and rose from line cook to Executive Chef in just 3 years. She was part of the opening team for one of the city's most anticipated restaurant launches, later leading corporate dining programs and contributing to Hurricane Maria disaster relief alongside chef José Andrés.

After the pandemic, Torrellas spent a year and a half in Puerto Rico, where she founded Torrellas Creations. That same period led her to launch From Scratch, a wellness-driven meal concept born out of her own journey toward better health — mind, body, and spirit. She returned to Los Angeles in 2022 and has since expanded her company as a private chef, working with celebrities, high-profile families, and professional athletes, including NBA players. Her focus isn't a fixed menu or a signature style — it's building an experience around whoever she's cooking for, whether that's a private home, a wedding, a birthday, or an evening that calls for something entirely custom.

She is also co-founder of MAZLO, a flavored ghee brand currently in development. Torrellas is driven by a belief that goes beyond food: that people are capable of real transformation, at any point in life. She's expanding beyond the kitchen into wellness education, teaching, courses, podcasting, and content creation — with future plans that include retreats, published work, and programs for children and families.
